Bush Abuses Power: Libby Gets Out of Jail

President Bush today commuted the  30 month jail sentence of convicted perjurer Scooter Libby, the former Chief of Staff for Vice President Cheney.  Libby was found guilty of lying to investigators looking into the outing of Valerie Plame.

Bush clearly has the power to commute Libby's sentence.  But it is abuse of power, an impeachable offense.  Bush is saying it is OK to lie to further the President's political agenda.  Republicans impeached Bill Clinton for lying about a personal indiscretion.  Libby's lies helped take us into the disastrous Iraq war.

It is long past time to impeach Bush and Cheney.  This should be the last straw.  Congress:  get off your butt's and impeach them now.
