Whereas CeRh/sub 3/B/sub 2/ possesses the highest magnetic ordering temperature (T/sub c/ approximately=115K) of any Ce-compound with nonmagnetic constituents, LaRh/sub 3/B/sub 2/ becomes superconducting below 2.5K. Recent magnetization measurements under pressure as well as lattice parameter and specific heat studies shed light on the nature of the anomalous magnetic state in CeRh/sub 3/B/sub 2/.
